Faux Acetate Satin is a mid weight double faced polyester satin with a delustered satin finish on both sides, made to replicate the look and drape of acetate satin. It is a well made cloth in its own right, carrying the same weight, finish and fall at a lower price per metre.
It has a soft handle and a very fluid drape, and is ideal for draped and twisted goddess gowns, bias cut slips and bridesmaids dresses. The satin finish runs on both sides, so it also works as its own lining. It has a slight mechanical stretch across the width, which helps it sit cleanly on the bias.
The surface is slippery, so it pays to pin and cut with care, and it is not a cloth for structured designs that need to hold their own shape.
We recommend specialist dry clean for all our fabrics.

Authority to leave without a signature (ATL) - all parcels are sent with ATL, please contact us if signature on arrival is required.

Freight will be calculated as per the table stipulated below. Please note orders may take up to 3 to 7 business days to arrive.
