    • See the true colour. Screens show colour differently, and silk can vary slightly from one dye batch to the next.
    • Feel the handle and weight before you buy by the metre.
    • Match it to your lining, thread or other fabrics.
    • Lace and embroidered tulle samples come with the fabric's printed spec sheet.

Cut fabric can't be returned for a change of mind, so a sample is the easiest way to be sure. Swatches are about 10 × 10 cm. Order by 12pm Melbourne time on a weekday and we post them the same day.

    Clean
We recommend dry cleaning to keep its original quality. Sandwashed satin will survive a careful hand wash in cool water with a pH-neutral, enzyme-free wash suitable for silk. Don't rub or wring. Washing can change the sheen and handle and move the colour, so test a cutting first.
    Press
Silk setting (two dots) on the reverse, through a pressing cloth. Satin marks easily under a hot iron.
    Good to know
It is washed during manufacture, so it shrinks no more than about 2% when washed.
