    • See the true colour. Screens show colour differently, and silk can vary slightly from one dye batch to the next.
    • Feel the handle and weight before you buy by the metre.
    • Match it to your lining, thread or other fabrics.
    • Lace and embroidered tulle samples come with the fabric's printed spec sheet.

Cut fabric can't be returned for a change of mind, so a sample is the easiest way to be sure. Swatches are about 10 × 10 cm. Order by 12pm Melbourne time on a weekday and we post them the same day.

    • No bleach
    • No tumble dry

    Clean
Dry clean. Tell your cleaner it is silk and point out any marks.
    Press
Press quickly at the silk setting (two dots) through a pressing cloth, with no steam.
    Good to know
Light and loosely woven, so it shifts and snags: handle with dry hands and cut on a paper underlay. Water drops leave marks that are hard to remove.
