What is dupioni made of?

Silk dupion or dupioni is made from pure silk and is a tightly woven silk fabric. By using very fine silk thread in the warp and an uneven thread from different cocoons in the weft gives it a very lustrous feel and appearance. It is the look that makes it perfect for high end garments like wedding dresses.
